New Haven, Indiana, July 19, 2009 - The weather was near perfect at the Indiana
State Time Trial Championships. The MOB Squad/U Build It Team was even better!
The team had five riders in the top 10 spots overall, led by Francis Manfred who took
top honors with an incredible time of 53 minutes, 39 seconds. Manfred's teammate,
Rob Templeman, came in second with a time of :54:04, and Team Koehlinger/Kelley's
Gary Painter placed third overall, with a time of :54:11.
Seventy riders registered for the event, presented by Men of Steel Racing.
Twenty-six of them broke the one hour mark, including our very own Jim Kruse, who
rode his best time ever.
The women's category was dominated by Diana Schowe of DRT Racing, who came in
with a time of one hour, 30 seconds. Sixteen-year-old Scott Gramke of the MOB
Squad took top honors in the junior's race. And Pat Herrick of Hammerhead Racing
came in first in the Eddy Merckx category.
